Now check it out, I'm a Floridian born and raised, and I'm usually fine with that, but sometimes something happens here that is just so retarded that I'm ashamed to call myself a Floridian. Here are two recent examples of idiots calling the cops down here. This one happened recently, you may have heard of it. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29498350/This one was a little while ago. www.firstcoastnews.com/news/local/news-article.aspx?storyid=115563&catid=3While personally I wouldn't do something this stupid, it makes me ashamed that these stories got national attention. It makes me sad that these kind of people are associated with my home state. Do you guys have any shames of your home state?

I just find it depressing that people that are this stupid are being associated with my home state. It puts the thought out there that Floridians are all like this.

I live in California. I could think of a million things that my state has done that are shameful, like passing a ban on gay marriage.

California repealed that though, right? The whole prop 8 thing? Also, I heard nothing of Florida doing that.

It's in the court system as far as I know, but it hasn't been repealed. Don't quite know if it will be.
